With virtually a reserve team, Thistle struggled. An early goal by Glover was followed by a second from McKennan (25) but Clach reduced the lead before half-time. Roared on by the 5,000 crowd the equaliser was the least the home team deserved, indeed they also wasted several chances for a 1st leg lead.
