The OH/SC/DR all have Sharp, Wright (2), O'Donnell (2) and McGeachy for Thistle's 6 goals. On the face of it, this is a strong statement but, crucially, none of the papers in question have an account of the match. The GH is not much help, merely reporting that all Thistle forwards bar McInnes got on the scoresheet. The only paper we've seen with an account of the match is the SP. We wouldn't always side with 1 paper versus 2, but the fact is we wouldn't have a sequence without the latter paper and therefore couldn't even highlight which goal is in dispute. Steadward had 3 great saves early on but the difference was Thistle took their chances. Sharp (3 and a powerful left foot drive, 26), O'Donnell (28 and 70), McGeachy (flying header, 55) and Wright (fine drive from an oblique angle, 71) all scored. Thirds never gave up and scored 39 and 84. 6-2 flattered Thistle.
