With a gale at their backs, Falkirk took the lead when Houston failed to cut out a corner and a deflected effort made it 1-0 (47). Thistle fought back however and a “snappy first-time effort” (SP) by McGeachy made it 1-1 (50). A thunderbolt from 25 yards proved to be the winner (62). Brown had an impressive debut.
