“Falkirk the better” (DR). The Falkirk centre-forward had the Thistle defence in a tangle most of the afternoon. He made both goals and hit the post himself. Thistle equalised through a smartly taken goal by Doonan (32) but they trailed at half-time. A late header was cleared off the line so Thistle left pointless.
