Thistle fell behind (3) then Stead hit the post. Airdrie had a good spell and hit the post as well. Newall headed in but was off-side then Gourlay equalised at a corner (42). It was end to end stuff and Newall made it 2-1 (62), Peat headed home (63) and Airdrie scored (64). They piled on the pressure but Thistle held on.
