A poor Celtic forward line cut through Thistle with ease but wasted chance after chance. A goal by Sharp (18) put Thistle ahead but, in truth, they were seldom in the game. A last minute 25-yarder by Celtic's centre-half showed his forwards the way to goal and salvaged a point.
