The forwards were eager enough but the defence was jittery. A cracking goal by Wallace from a Picken pass put Thistle in front but Queens levelled virtually from the restart. Picken headed in a McSpadyen cross only for Queens to level again and they were robbed of a winner by a poor off-side decision.
