Wallace gave Thistle the lead (7) with a great left foot drive but it was a false dawn as Clyde rattled in 4 goals just after the half-hour. They were the better team throughout and, with a shaky defence and indifferent half-backs, Thistle were second best. Without McLeod and McKennan they toiled. Thankfully, Clyde eased up in the second half.
