Thistle were good value for their half-time lead (Wallace from a goalmouth scramble, 24) but 2 goals (50 and 65) gave Arbroath a deserved win. They were a better team with the wind and Thistle, unlucky on occasions, fell out of things. It was a scrappy game and both keepers deserved the applause at the end. McKennan was sorely missed.
