notes
  • JL (by process of elimination) gives Thistle's second to John Wallace but the OH/SC/GH all say it was Alex McSpadyen and we stick with them. SC suggests an o.g. by Beath for Thistle's 4th, but states that “Wallace shot goalwards”. ACA/CL reckon that it was “McFarlane trying to stop a shot from Wallace put the ball in his own net”. Whether it was Beath or McFarlane who steered the ball into the net, we stick with John Wallace on the grounds that he placed the shot and we have no way of knowing if it was on target or not. Besides, Wallace is entirely undisputed in the GH report.
