Once again Thistle struggled against bottom club Ayr. Ex-JAG Torbet set up a deserved opener for Ayr (26) then their keeper was stretchered off injured (36 to 60). Regan equalised (71) and the keeper (previously on the left wing) went back into goal just after Reagan scored again (81) but Torbet came back to haunt his old club (87).
