Thistle lost their grip on the cup at the 1st attempt, conceding goals 10 and 25 but Thirds were flattered by their lead. McKennan scored (48) and Thistle had a good last half-hour but the Thirds keeper had some fine saves. Too many Thistle players were off form and it was a poor performance.
