Gourlay had a daring save early on but after that Thistle had the best of things and Wyllie scored (17) with a low, hard shot. Motherwell equalised with a well-taken goal (57) then made full use of the off-side trap to deny Thistle a winner. Even so, the forwards didn't do Thistle's general play justice.
