Thistle were impressive in the first half playing with the wind and “a deep 'W' formation” (WMN). A Ballantyne header, Craigie from close in with the keeper AWOL and McMillan's 20 yarder made it 3-0. Argyle (with ex-JAG Rae playing) reduced the lead just on half-time and a fine move produced their 2nd.
