The Little Report Thistle had hardly been in the game until Ness crossed and took a return pass from Torbet (22). It gave Thistle a narrow win against bottom club Airdrie. Their robust style gave Thistle problems all afternoon and they had Jackson to thank for protecting the lead. His magnificent stop near the end denied Airdrie a point.
