Thistle dominated and Morrison hit the bar twice before Torbet scored (9) but Ayr were always dangerous on the break and it was 1-1 at half-time. The second half saw Ayr the better team and they looked good value for a draw until Torbet scored (71). Thistle held on to both points thanks to Jackson.
