Played in ankle deep slush and snow but at a punishing pace, Thistle sat in for most of the first half and the conditions seemed to affect the Airdrie forwards who created a number of chances. They ran out of steam in the second half and Thistle took the points thanks to a pot shot from Grove and Elliott from a corner.
