The heavy pitch cut up badly but it was a good entertaining game and a fine all-round performance. Torbet gave Thistle the lead (4). Cunningham headed in his cross just on half-time and scored when the keeper dropped a Pope shot (67). 2 goals 82 and 88 took the shine off but the score flattered Falkirk somewhat. They left their challenge too late.
