107,475 saw an exciting match, slightly spoiled by the wind. Simpson and O'Hare were injured but “Thistle played with great confidence” (GH) and showed excellent teamwork throughout. A Ness header hit the bar near half-time. Lots of goalmouth incidents and no pointer how the replay would go.
