Rangers were out of the blocks quickly but for all their pressure, Jackson was seldom busy. Thistle were seldom seen in attack and only Turner posed any threat. Rangers took the lead (49) and a penalty in the last minute sealed the win. A stubborn performance but Rangers were better up front.
