Thistle made light of the snow-covered frozen pitch with “a sparkling display by their forwards” (GH). Goals by Ballantyne and Boardman gave them a comfortable lead at half-time. Clyde came more into it after half-time but their forwards made little impression and Fraser then Torbet scored to make it a good New Year.
