Fraser was lame for most of the match so a fine win. Gibson swept in a Salisbury cross (15). Kilmarnock had lots of pressure but their forwards were weak and the Thistle defence stood firm. The limping Fraser shot home past the unsighted keeper and full-back for 2-0 at half-time. It was all about strong defence in the second half.
