Tynecastle. A rousing cup tie. 7th in Div 2, East Fife scored due to poor defensive work at a free-kick (3). Grove equalised from a Ness pass (30) then Torbet and Hair missed good chances. A mistake by Gibson led to an oblique shot Jackson got his finger tips to, 51). Thistle were 2nd best to a skilful, robust side.
