The Little Report Thistle's lightweight forwards struggled on the heavy pitch but Rangers survived some early pressure then took the lead. Thistle held their own for most of the 2nd half but a 2nd goal (60) killed the tie off. Ramsay was again in brilliant form and Grove and Ness were best for Thistle up front.
