Arran war memorial fund-raiser. McLean gave Thistle an early lead (3) but they trailed 1-3 to a first half hat-trick. A good drive by McFarlane (J) reduced the lead (65) in a keenly fought second half and Gibson (J) scored just before the final whistle for the draw.

At Firhill. This game, arranged for the benefit of Arran War Memorial Fund, ended in a draw (3-3). Unfortunately for the object in view, barely a thousand spectators were present. Thistle got on the move early, McLean registering the first goal a few minutes after the kick-off. A quiet first half ended in favour of Clydebank, Grant completing the hat trick, all three goals being well taken. The second half saw a transformation, a fast game being maintained throughout. After twenty minutes of the period had gone, J. McFarlane beat Robertson with a good drive. The closing stages were fought out keenly. J. Gibson drew the score level just on time, the old Ashfield boy scoring from a scrimmage. Best for Thistle were Bernard, the brothers Gibson, Crossar and McLean, while Clydebank were well served by McIntosh and Grant.
