dubious goals panel
  • OH has John Blair for both of Thistle's goals, but we say he got neither, although GH say John Blair got the first. Everybody missed the first goal in the dense fog. The SP reporter got the first goalscorer directly from the ref, and reported that a Dundee back kicked the ball against his own goalie (Thomas Gibbon) and it went in. The second goal was reported as Andrew Kerr's, from a pass by John Blair in SC/SP/GH. JL concurs. We therefore go with the truth for the first one (og) and the majority view for the second (Kerr).
