Strangely, the OH (backed up by the DR) have Jimmy McMullan playing at #6 and scoring Thistle's second, whilst GH/SC/SP/JL all say that it was Fred McLachlan. We stick with the latter, per the majority view.

Goals by Harris (N), MacLachlan (a 40-yard drive off the underside of the bar) and Lauder put Thistle 3-up but Clydebank scored (55 and 85) to set up a nervy finish and they almost scored in the last minute from a corner. In mitigation, Bernard, Harris, Haugh and MacLachlan were all injured during the second half.
