Morton were the better team in the first half and took the lead (11). Bernard (on his debut) was excellent and was the main reason it was only 1-0 at half-time. Bowie and Harris (who hit the post in the first half) went close as Thistle improved after half-time and Whittle scored (56) but it could have gone either way.
