Bowie walked the ball into the net as the Airdrie keeper (future-JAG Bernard) was obstructed. Thistle were the better team and the goal was deserved. The second half “degenerated into a wild affair” (SC) and Harris (N) and the Airdrie left-back were sent off. “Free fights were all too frequent” (SP).
