Some regulars were missing in this exciting struggle. Hamilton had the bulk of the play in the first half and should have been ahead at half-time. The goal came on 50 minutes then much improved Thistle had their best spell but Hamilton (with a depleted defence through injury) held on for the win and joined Thistle in 5th.
