Falkirk deservedly took a 2-goal lead, the 2nd with a penalty in off the post when their international inside-left was brought down in the box. McTavish pulled one back from a goalmouth scramble just before half-time. Both teams had chances, Falkirk hit the post then went down to 10 men but they held out.
