Competitively fought but scrappy. Both defences were far too good for the forwards - there wasn't a decent one on view - whereas every defender was in fine form. Airdrie were awarded a penalty but it was shot straight at Campbell. Branscombe went close late on but, in truth, neither team deserved to win.
