Thistle had received a Quarter Final (1st Round) bye. SFHA erroneously lists this game as Tuesday 6th May 1913. Saturday 3rd May 1913 verified at GH. Drawings £319 (SC); £319 (GH) Gordon is down for Ranges third in the GH, but the SC credits Reid, and the detailed account in the DR convinces us to side with the latter.

10,000 paid £319 and saw Branscombe open the scoring but Rangers equalised then went ahead just on half-time. Thistle had the better of the second half but nothing came of the corners they forced. Rangers settled the tie with a 3rd goal near the end. A poor season all round ruined by a horrendous injury list.
