King" and John McIntyre (Denny Athletic, under the psuedonym "J. Taylor") played as trialists for Thistle whilst George Bennett (St Johnstone), James Riddell (Ashfield), John Conner (Perth Violet), Thomas Laurie (Shettleston) and Ralph Risk (Ashfield) played as trialists for Rangers.
