Marshall missed an open goal in the 1st minute then play was even for a while then he shot over the bar with a pen. Airdrie got on top and led 2-0 at half-time. A better performance after half-time saw Elmore score after a good run but Thistle couldn't find a way past the Airdrie keeper for the equaliser they deserved.
