Harry Lauder kicked off with such force he burst the ball. Jock Mills @ 4 was a “well-known Scottish singer/comedian”. Seems to have been a party atmosphere. There was a wrestling contest at HT.

The players were wary of the treacherous conditions in Alec McGregor's testimonial. Thistle had most of the early play and after he had wasted a good chance, Anderson scored the only goal. The second half saw defences on top and it ended 1-0. King was the best forward of the 10 on show.
