Play was even for most of the first half and both goalkeepers saw a lot of the action. Raisbeck at centre-half was outstanding. Towards half-time Lowry scored with a free-kick from well out that deceived the keeper. Thistle pressed but cup-finalists Dundee had a strong defence and it remained 1-0.
