Ibrox. Thistle were the better team for 30 minutes then Airdrie scored 2 quick, soft goals and Massie (who was blameless) conceded 4 more after half-time. The Airdrie No 9 scored 4. “Airdrieonians were cleverer in every department” (GH). Even more worryingly, £28 taken at the gate was a record low for the 1st Div.
