Kilmarnock kept the strong wind for the second half and Thistle pressed for most of the 1st. However, in the second half Kilmarnock found they couldn't harness the wind and Thistle scored through Ballantyne (85) in one of their “numerous raids“ (SC). Massey (back in goal) kept a welcome clean sheet.
