Drawings £156 (APJ). SC/SL contend that Bill Gray got Thistle's goal, but OH/APJ/ADJ/GH/AFC/JL/DR all say it was Sam Kennedy and we stick with the majority view as per our teamlines provider, APJ, who describe it as “a rocket shot from 30 yards”.

This was Aberdeen's first ever top flight league match. A brilliant 30-yard shot by Kennedy with the keeper unsighted was enough to take the points. Aberdeen lost a player towards the end and were a little unlucky on their big day. They were the better team in the second half but their forwards were erratic.
