Top of the league Airdrie scored (30) then Thistle bombarded their goal but a mistake by Gilchrist led to a 2nd goal. It was 3-0 just after half-time then play became “rash and reckless“ (GH) and Campbell “lost his head“ (SC) and was sent off. Some of the players were jostled by the crowd at the end and the officials were stoned. Airdrie went top.
