A mistake by Wilson let in Shelbourne for the lead (3). Play was even until an overhead kick made it 2-0. Thistle's attacks were spasmodic and wayward but McMahon scored from a scramble before half-time. He missed an open goal but Thistle were 2nd best and in defence for the rest of the game.
