The II line-up is spoiled by the inclusion of Walker at both #4 and #6. We've presumed this to be an error and have made the educated guess that they missed Tommy Suttie #2. In the aftermath, the Scottish Referee reported that Suttie (who had been on loan) got injured in Thistle's tour of Ireland and that he'd miss the next Lochgelly game. Since our line-up for the Shelbourne game is complete, it's a no-brainer to place Suttie in the Glentoran match.

The home team booked the strong wind in the first half and soon had Thistle under pressure. Wilkie had some fine saves. Proudfoot missed a good chance to take the lead after the break but Glentoran had their chances too. Neither side was able to find a winner despite their efforts. “A tame game” (BNL).

At the Oval, Belfast, in stormy weather, before 2,000 spectators. Glentoran, with the wind, held a decisive advantage, pressing incessantly, but Wilkie exhibited great form. At the interval nothing had been scored. Crossing over the visitors played strongly, and Proudfoot missed, while Donoghue did likewise. Both sides strove in the last minutes to score without avail. Result:- Belfast Glentoran 0, Partick Thistle 0.
