Gailey (the best player afield) had an early chance but soon Wilkie was pulling off some fine saves. He blundered with a 30-yarder he thought was going over the bar so Airdrie went in 1-up at half-time. Massie went close then an OG following a corner made it 1-1 but Airdrie soon scored with an unsavable shot. Unlucky.
