Bottom club Saints gave Thistle (with Lamont, Paul and Gray playing for Glasgow) a fright. Ferguson gave them the lead (15) but soon it was 1-2 then a long shot by Wilson made it 2-2 at half-time. Ferguson scored, had one disallowed then got his 3rd for 4-2. Saints scored again before McDiarmid got a late 5th.
