We've seen no contemporary line-ups reported as yet, but note that the SR (in a brief comment) mentions that Thistle were at full strength except for R. Gray and Paul. We've taken no action to remove Gray as things stand but will bear it in mind for any future developments. On the eve of the game, the SR reported that a selected team from Neilston, Thornliebank & Arthurlie would meet the Partick Thistle players at Barrhead for the benefit of the Arthurlie club. It was said that Thistle were giving their services free out of respect for James Auchincloss, their right back.

Arthurlie were the better team in the first half and were worth their 1-0 lead at half-time thanks to “a smart shot“. Thistle had several good chances but the forwards were ineffectual. In the second half for a time “play was devoid of interest“ (GH) but a free-kick from Auchencloss (80) earned the draw.
