Thistle had the best of things but couldn't find their scoring touch. Paul was well marked. The Linthouse defenders were in good form. After half-time both teams went close before Mailer opened the scoring. Linthouse had a goal disallowed but they did score near the end with a fine shot. Lawson's pen was saved (85).
