The OH credits Paul (2), Lawson (2) and Lamb (2) but we've been unable to match up with that in any of the detailed reports that we've seen, namely the SR, CE and the DR. There's consensus in the SR/CE with goals 1, 2, 5 and 6 being credited to Lawson (3) and Lamb (1), and all three papers talk of scrimmages for goals 3 and 4, with the DR contending that the 5th was also a scrimmage and that the 6th (not 5th) was the Lawson penalty. We've decided to fall in line with the OH that Willie Paul got 2, and therefore take a punt that he was involved in the stramashes for goals 3 and 4. We're further encouraged in this decision by the comment in Monday's SR that “Paul was on great form, the handsome recognition of THAT goal at Linthouse having cheered him up, no doubt.” In comparison to the OH therefore, we've ultimately applied +1 for Lawson and -1 for Lamb as far as things stand.

After some “listless play” (CE) Lawson opened the scoring (20). Airdrie went close but Lamb made it 2-0. The keeper was charged for an OG for 3-0 before a rebound off the bar was fired home for 3-1. Another scramble after half-time made it 4, Lawson's pen made it 5, Airdrie pulled one back but Lawson made it 6-2 (89).
