dubious goals panel
  • OH lists John Wilkie, Willie Paul, John Campbell as scorers, and is short by 1. JL lists John Campbell (3) and Willie Freebairn. GH or SC list no scorers. We've seen no contemporary evidence to back up the latter account, so have gone with the only report (SR) which is fully stating names and sequence. Furthermore, we've had to interpret that paper's "Cameron" as a mistyped "Campbell"! This pretty much ties in with the OH, with the second for Wilkie now completing their account. With regards to Cowlairs' opener, JL lists Robert Thorburn, but we've gone with Gibbon per the SR report.
