Morton opened the scoring (Gray og) but Paul equalised to make it 1-1 at half-time. Morton went ahead but goals by McDonald, Wilkie and Paul put Thistle in a strong position only for Morton to score twice through Ex-JAG Melrose. The game finished with the JAGS well on top but the Morton keeper kept them out.
